“A Life in Horticulture” – George Anderson (with Chartered Institute of Horticulture)
5th November @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Caley members will need no introduction to George Anderson. He was Head of the School of Horticulture at RBGE until his retirement in 2004, bringing into being the very successful and popular HND Horticulture with Plantsmanship course, a qualification that many of today’s horticulturists hold.
Most will know him from his appearances on the Beechgrove TV programme where his practical advice on plants and gardening is much appreciated by all. He was Caley President from 2005 – 2011 and Honorary President from 2014 – 2022 and is a fab daffodil grower!!
Our talks take place in the Lecture Theatre at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. All talks will begin at 7.30pm. The talks are free and are open to non-members. No need to book, just come along on the day. All we ask is that you make a small donation at the door or perhaps buy a raffle ticket if you can. For those who have not attended a lecture at RBGE before, entry is via the main reception: 20a Inverleith Row, Edinburgh, EH3 5LR (not far from the East Gate).
