Holyrood Park Wildflower Walk – cancelled.

5th May, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Unfortunately,  in view of the ongoing situation with Covid-19 and to ensure that we are following the current safety advice, we have decided to cancel this trip.

An early evening wildflower walk at Holyrood Park, led by Stan da Prato. Gentle walk into the main grassland at Hunters Bog. Our main target will be the rare adder’s tongue fern we missed last year as the other vegetation had overgrown it, thus our earlier date. Holyrood Park has a wide range of other plants including rock rose, maiden pink and sticky catchfly.

The walk starts at 6pm. Meet in the large car park by the palace. This walk may be booked in advance or paid on the day.

Cost is £5.00 per person. A booking form can be downloaded here.  This covers all day trips and visits in the Caley summer programme.

  • If you are interested in this trip or would like more information, contact Rona McDowall, email: mcdowall@hotmail.com or telephone: 07572 308125.
  • Our trips are also open, at no extra charge, to any friends of the Caley who are non-members.
  • Day outings may be cancelled if numbers are too low. Refunds for bookings cancelled by members will be based on the financial commitment already incurred by the Caley.
  • Send booking form with cheque (payable to RCHS) to Rona McDowall, 7 Traquair Park West, Edinburgh, EH12 7AN.
