Lecture – “Benmore – Past, Present and Future”. Peter Baxter, Benmore Botanic Garden.

19th November, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Peter Baxter is Curator of RBG’s Benmore Botanic Garden, the largest and first of its three outstation Gardens, which became part of the organisation in 1929. He has overseen many changes and improvements during his tenure of 24 years, including the recent restoration of the Golden Gates. This year it is the Tenth Anniversary of the Restoration of the Victorian Fernery.

The talk will give an overview of some of the recent challenges and successes and an insight into proposed future projects at the Garden.

Our talks are free to Caley members and to students (just show your student card at the door).  Visitors are very welcome to attend. All we ask is that you make a donation to The Caley at the door.

Our talks are held in the Lecture Theatre at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.  Entry is via the main reception on Inverleith Row.
