Gardening Scotland

Gardening Scotland is Scotland’s National Gardening and Outdoor Living Show. The Caley was heavily involved in the establishment of the Show and continues to have a very close involvement.

Gardening Scotland in 2019 will be held from Friday 31st May – Sunday 2nd June at The Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh.

The Caley played an integral part in the establishment of Gardening Scotland and has continued to have a very close involvement. The Society is currently the only named organisation on the Board of Gardening Scotland. To find out more of the history of Gardening Scotland and it’s links to The Caley, read the article from the 2016 Caledonian Gardener.  The Caley’s rationale for involvement is closely linked to its commitment to gardening in Scotland by helping, encouraging and enthusing everyone interested or involved, from novice to expert.

In 2015 and 2016 The Caley also took on the sponsorship of the Floral Hall, and provided a stunning display. A significant number of Caley members provide support over the build-up, the break-down, and the show itself and in this way, help to make Gardening Scotland a major celebration of gardening in Scotland.  As well as promoting The Caley, we provide friendly expertise and informal advice. Our flagship education programme, Grow & Learn, has its own stand and is well supported by participants across Scotland.
