Run up to Gardening Scotland
As I tackled another batch of queries about Gardening Scotland today it occurred to me that I should really be keeping the wider Caley world in the loop about preparations for Gardening Scotland. But – I pondered – it might seem dull and boring in comparison to preparing for the Spring Show! And yet – Mr Anderson himself sent me a picture the other day of two very important Auriculas, President George and The Caley! I have asked him if he can try to keep them in flower for Gardening Scotland as we are sponsoring a Best New Plant in show award and the society has a number of plants named after it – but rarely are they in flower at the time of Gardening Scotland. It is a big ask so just in case he doesn’t manage it – here is a sneak preview.
