Snow doesn’t stop everything!

When I saw Rona of Quercus Plants weaving her willow in the snow earlier this week, I couldn’t help thinking about the statements made by Dr Andrew Duncan in 1811, a Vice- President of the society..

He maintained that one of the reasons why Scotland had ‘long and justly been celebrated for supplying useful practical Gardeners ….. has in some degree been the effect of our climate.’

In other words gardeners in Scotland are not put off by weather conditions!
