The Caley will be at Apple Day at the Botanics in Edinburgh next weekend.
Come to the Royal Botanic Gardens on Saturday 20th October between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., (Sunday 21st from 1 to 4) and talk with representatives of the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society (The Caley). Examples of varieties of apples will be on display to show that despite the weather this summer, some have cropped well.
There will be twelve varieties to sample supplied by the Royal Horticultural Society. Willie Duncan will be on hand on the Saturday to help answer your queries and identify unnamed varieties.
The Caley has been experimenting with apples and how best to use different varieties as a food crop since 1812.
