NatureScot Invasive Species Initiative

This is an online talk given by Stan Whitaker, Non Native Species Adviser at Nature Scot. Only a small proportion of introduced plant species become invasive, but those that do can cause great harm by crowding out native vegetation, choking waterways, carrying disease and even damaging buildings and infrastructure.  This talk will look at what actions we can take, spot future problem species, reduce the risk of non-native plants spreading into the wild and to tackle the worst invaders that are already disrupting our ecosystems.
