Tool maintenance/sharpening workshop

Sharp tools make gardening much easier and if you look after them properly your tools should last for many years. We have had enquiries on how best to sharpen tools or how to look after them so we have decide to run a workshop. The workshop will be held in the Caley’s Teaching Garden at Saughton Park in Edinburgh on Sunday 6th August at 10am.
The workshop will be lead by Colin Ainsworth and he will take you through the best ways to look after your tools. You can even bring along a tool or two to be sharpened but please don’t bring your entire tool shed!! It is not just things like secateurs and shears that need sharpened – spades, hoes and edgers can all benefit from sharpening and can make your gardening life easier.

You do not need to be a Caley member to attend our workshops – they are open to everyone.
