Monday has Spring in it's sights?

Spring is advancing here in Edinburgh and already there are some daffodils showing colour.

Others have developed to the ‘Gooseneck Stage’ where the buds assume the neck shape described by a goose, head down almost as though they are sulking.

From Gooseneck to bloom takes only about four to five days depending on the amount of sunshine and warmth in the suns rays.Already some of my pink Hyacinths are showing open buds. They are not very even yet but given time the two slower flower stems in this photo will catch up. The aim here is to get all the flowers on all the stems fully out for the morning of judging.  May also need to straighten them up a bit.
