An early season?

Some plants already in flower on the floor of the greenhouse to keep the rain off and also the sun. However most   will be past their  best when  the  first  competitive alpine show  is held on 18th March. Several alpines and dwarf  rhododendrons are early but not daffodils or tulips.    Some plants  respond  more to sunlight others to temperature.
