Watering
Community groups use various ways to provide water to keep their displays looking good until the first frosts. This Haddington volunteer uses a water cart small enough to use in confined spaces. Daily watering and weekly feeding has lead to very healthy plants. Others use larger tanks on vehicles which carry much more but can be less manoeuvrable. The wall – the back of the public toilets!- has a display of recycled begonia tubers growing in plastic troughs in metal cages now obscured by the flowers. Groups in Port Seton and North Berwick have also created similar wall displays.
