Don’t miss the final lecture of our Winter Talks Programme for 2019/20.

The History and Development of Peonies – Billy Carruthers

Billy is a stalwart member of the Caley and is currently a Vice-President. For over 20 years he has owned Binny Plants, a nursery near Uphall, West Lothian, on what was originally the old walled kitchen garden of the Binny Estate. The nursery stocks a wide variety of interesting herbaceous perennials, trees and shrubs but Billy’s specialism is Peonies. He has a range of over 300 of these beautiful plants and has exhibited at Chelsea and Gardening Scotland, winning medals at both shows.

Our lectures a free to Caley members and to students (just show your student card at the door).  Non-members are very welcome to come along, all we ask is that you make a small donation to The Caley on the night.

Entry to the lecture theatre at RBGE is via the main reception on Inverleith Row.
