George and his Caley bulb workshop pots
With Valentines Day been and gone and the pots of Caley bulbs lifted and cleaned up, it is time to start the process of preparing for the Caley Spring Bulb show.
It has been a strangely mild winter here in #sunnyjoppa and as a result some of the varieties have become slightly taller and lankier than I would have liked. Still I am hopeful that with exposure to sunlight that they will firm up.
The pots have been brushed clean and some of the compost removed so that there is space at the top of the pots for watering and feeding. The pots are now sitting in the unheated glasshouse and will be left for about ten to fourteen days without watering so that there growth slows.
I will start watering and feeding with a high potash liquid feed in two weeks time.
Good luck To all.
George
