Merry Christmas from the Allotment Team

Thursday was our last working day on the allotment for 2021 since we are planning a Christmas lunch next week and hoping that will happen.

Spreading the woodchip

The session was spent on maintenance on a day of sun and clear skies. The posts holding the hazel/willow windbreak were repaired, woodchip added to more of the paths and the weeding and taking back the grass edges alongside the wooden edges of the raised beds continued.

We shall be back again in Christmas week to pick the vegetables for Christmas lunch and to check all is well and will continue with a regular check until we meet again in earnest, hopefully in mid-January, but that depends on the weather of course.
