Saughton Park – Blooming Wonderful
We had a visit to Saughton earlier this week to see how the Caley areas were doing. As expected, they are pretty weedy (no surprise as we haven’t been onsite for 3 months). However, due to the presence of some beautiful wild flowers, the beds don’t look too bad.
The rest of the Walled Garden is looking fantastic at the moment. Here are a few images from the rose garden, the herbaceous border and the white border. The herbaceous border has changed from its lovely purple hues of a few weeks ago to the brighter oranges and yellows seen here. It will be interesting to see how it changes in the coming weeks.

You will also be pleased to hear the the Garden Bistro has opened. Just for takeaway at the moment to comply with current Covid-19 restrictions, but it is great to be able to get a cup of tea when visiting the Park. Please be aware that there are no toilet facilities open in the park at the moment, so don’t drink too much tea!
