Willow Flowers workshop – Sunday 6th August

For our August Saughton Sunday workshop, we invited Katie Warner (www.katiewarnerweaving.com) along to show us how to make willow flowers and what a brilliant class it was!

The raw materials

A small group of 8 joined Katie as she walked them through the intricacies of willow weaving.  After a slow start, everyone soon got into the swing of it and some beautiful flowers were produced, although there were a few sore hands and blisters by the end of the class. Who knew that willow weaving could be such hard work.

Tools of the trade
