A chilly day on the Allotment

In Allotment, Blog, Fruit trees, Workshops

Thursday on the Allotment was very chilly and dull. Unfortunately, the promised sun didn’t appear. We worked again on repair of raised beds, finished cutting back the willow, checked all the netting and tidied up the yellowing leaves from the brassicas, netted the leeks as they are being eaten by the rabbits and topped up more of the woodchip paths.

Another raised bed repaired.

DIARY DATE – February Pruning Workshop, Sunday 24 February 2pm-4pm.
If you want to brush up on your pruning skills, make sure you keep Sunday 24th February 2019 free.  Come along to The Caley Demonstration Allotment for some expert tuition on pruning your fruit trees and bushes. There may even be a cup of tea on offer!
