Online Talk – Gardening for Butterflies and Moths

6th October, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Anthony McCluskey – Project Officer, Butterfly Conservation Scotland

Join us for this, our first online talk. Butterflies and moths are in decline, but gardens can be havens for them and help boost local populations. It all depends on the planting, but there are many things we can all do to help these insects. We’ll also have a look at the incredible life cycles of species like the Painted Lady, which performs a 9000-mile migration from Africa to northern Europe each year.

Anthony is an experienced ecologist who has worked for a number of projects.  Currently he is working with Butterfly Conservation Scotland, training new volunteers to record butterflies, and creating wildflower meadows for butterflies in urban areas of central Scotland.

For details on how to register for this event and how to access the talk, go to the listing on Eventbrite.
