Saughton Sunday

1st March, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

We have a couple of planned activities today.

  1. “Show off your Blooms” – This morning drop-in session will give people a chance to practice staging daffodils for the Spring Bulb Show. It is easier than you think.  Come along and get some helpful hints and tips for your show entries. This activity will be held in the courtyard area at Saughton Park and Pam will be around from 11am (ish) – 12 noon to give you some advice. There is no cost for this session.
  2. “Introduced plant pests- A risk for our crops, gardens and environment” This short workshop will be led by Alexandra Schlenzig from SASA  and is about the risks of introduced plant pests. There will be lots of time for questions and, if your plants have a pest or disease that you cannot identify or don’t know how to treat, then Alexandra may be able to help you.
Please do not bring diseased plant material into the park – just take a photo and we can use that. This is a free event that is open to all. It starts at 1pm and will be held in the McHattie Room at Saughton Park. The McHattie Room is within the courtyard area at Saughton and is easily accessed from the Ford’s Road entrance to the park.
