Gardening with Children – January

 In Blog

January is often a quiet month in the garden and apart from the odd bit of tidying-up that gardeners find to do, it appears that not much is happening. But nature is always at work! The weather can be grey, wet and cold with some frost and snow for good measure. Most plants are in their mid-winter slumber, but you will find signs of life in the garden; it may be a flowering shrub (winter-flowering Viburnum or Jasmine), or snowdrops or daffodils starting to poke their green shoots through the soil. Get outdoors and see what you can find.

Head over to our Gardening with Children page for projects that can be done during January.  We have been kind to you and given a couple that can be done indoors!
