One week on and looking promising

In Blog, Bulb growing, George Anderson, Spring Show

One week on from lifting the pots of Caley Bulbs  they have all been given their first watering and a dilute potash feed. In general all pots of daffs look good although in some pots there are single bulbs that have failed to develop.

The Tulips, Exotic Emperor and Sweet Lady,  may need to be kept back a bit as I find tulips often open too early even in the cold glasshouse. They may be sat outside to slow them down.

The foliage on the Hyacinths Woodstock and Kronos appear OK at first glance but there are one or two issues with their flower spikes.
More on that next time.

Remember that you can control the growth and progress of the bulbs by keeping them dry and cool to slow them down and watering them to speed them up.

Stay safe and keep well.
